NYC OPEN DATA - Desktop App - July, 2018
NYC OPEN DATA is a public website in NYC providing open data sets in Government, Business, Education, Environment, Health, and other fields for data enthusiasts and professionals. It acts as "a powerful tool that ensures transparency and fosters civic innovation within our City to help improve the quality of life for all New Yorkers.” - Samir Saini, commissioner
This project is targeted to improve and extend the current NYC open data website, creating a persona who needs to analyze a business problem - the situation of cab drivers refusing to take passengers. The user needs to manipulate the data sets in various ways, as well as creating possible data visualization to assist in making decisions.
